SIMPLY MAGIC / OUR STORY & BUSINESSES
MGM Grand Touch Kiosk
A pioneering touchscreen experience in Las Vegas.

In 1993, Paul created a touchscreen information kiosk for the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and its Grand Garden Arena. Located at the food court, the kiosk brought hotel information, show times, restaurant locations and menus, and videos of upcoming arena events into one interactive experience.
It put full-motion video, audio, and graphics at visitors’ fingertips at an early moment in public touchscreen technology. The project reflects an approach that continues across Simply Magic: use technology to make information easier to discover and give people a direct role in the experience. These archive images show the installation and its directory interface.
